DonJon Salvage. Tanker Barge Irving Whale Salvage-Gulf of Saint Lawrence. Senior Marine Scientist that provided scientific support to a prime contractor under contract to Environment Canada to raise the sunken tanker barge Irving Whale during the Summer of 1996 in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence (Canada). The Irving Whale sank in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence in 1970 with oil and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) on board the barge. Provided technical input on the environmental fate and effects of PCBs during the planning, operational and remedial phases of the barge-raising project [1996]. |
